If your package won’t fit through the letterbox, Royal Mail may attempt delivery of your item to one of your neighbours, or leave this in a secure area on the property that could be deemed a ‘Safeplace’.
In these instances, Royal Mail will post a ‘Something for you’ card through your letterbox telling you where you can find your parcel.
If they’re unable to deliver an item to you or a neighbour and there isn’t a ‘Safeplace’ to leave it, your item will be returned to your local Royal Mail delivery office for you to collect, or to arrange a redelivery. They will post a ‘Something for you’ card through your letterbox telling you this. The ‘Something for you’ card shows the address and opening hours of the local delivery office.
For orders via our Express Delivery service, you’ll receive an email directly from the courier with in- flight or redelivery options which may differ to our standard delivery service.
